Innodence stumbled back from the mirror, visual processors adjusting wildly until he was sure he would fall over. "this is me?" he asked no one, "not as fat as I would have guessed, but fine by me."
with his photoceptors at full control, he looked around. he was in a room, a yellow boxy room with a large mirror on one wall a computer screen on the wall to the left and a large window to the right. he was interested by the fact that the computer screen had no manual controls, so decided to investigate. as he walked closer the computer booted up and spoke a warm welcome.
"welcome. this is day two thousand eight hundred ninety five on the planet Verillius-magna. weather conditions out side the codre eleven are fatal to most beings, heat advisory fifty degrees centigrade, payload is due in twenty seven hours, weapons facility is powering up, life support systems are powering up, air depressurization system is powering up. please stand by as all systems power up." a male voice joyfully reicited
"wait a minuet, life support was off in my–" Innodence attempted to say before his audio processors depressurized, creating an overload in the circuit, "Great Beings!!! what in the world just happened!"
"would you like me to explain or would you like to figure it out on your own?" the voice asked
"I think I can figure it out, it's just that–wait, you can respond?"
"Of course Innodence, unless you would like to mute me unless asked to respond." the computer said, "you probably already knew that though, as you created me, A.V.E.R.Y, 'automatic voice electronic recognition and yellow-pages,' although i'm not sure why you added 'yellow-pages,' in logi–"
"yeah, yeah i don't want your opinion I just want to review all my logs."
"you have, no new logs, and, no old logs. I have been noting your activity durring your time in your resting cycle. it seems that...oh, dear, this isn't good, it appears that there has been some conciquintial data loss."
